Mamaroneck Artists Guild CALL FOR ENTRIES

OPENING AWARDS RECEPTION: Saturday, April 5, 2025, 3-5:30 pm

Open to all artists 18 years and older, the exhibition will include work in any media or 3D completed since January 2022. Artists may submit amaximum of 3 entries.  Size of all framed work may not exceed 15” in any direction (For 2D work that includes frame; if 3D, it includes the base). All accepted work will hang in the gallery exhibit and be posted on the MAG Website: www.mamaroneckartistsguild.org

Juror: 

Kim Henrikson is the Executive Director at the Center of Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk, CT.

Kim serves as Membership Chair for the Print Club of New York and has a seat on the National Advisory Council for the Palmer Museum of Art at Penn State University. She also serves on the Advisory Board for the Norwalk Art Space with leaders in the arts community of Fairfield County and surrounding region. 

Previously, she ran her own art advisory business, the Yvonne Brandt Art Advisory and held a senior position at Artstor, a non-profit organization that provides access to digital images in the arts, architecture, humanities and sciences. 

Kimberly has also held various roles focused on client relationship management for both creative and technology organizations in New York City, including Yahoo, HotJobs.com, a fashion design house, and a midtown art gallery. Kimberly received a BA in Art History from Penn State University and served two years as President of the Penn State College of Arts and Architecture Alumni Society Board. She also completed coursework towards an MA degree in Art History at Hunter College in New York City.

ACCEPTED MEDIA: 

The exhibition will include original work in any media, 2-D or 3-D (including crafts) completed since January 2022. No Giclees. Work may not exceed 15” in any direction (if 2-D, that includes frame; if 3-D, that includes the base). All accepted work will hang in the gallery exhibit and be posted on the MAG Website: www.mamaroneckartistsguild.org

ELIGIBILITY:  

Open to all artists 18 years and older. Work exhibited in prior MAG Small Works exhibitions is not eligible. All images in the show will remain on our Past Shows section of our website for 6 months. 

ENTRY FEE:  

The entry fee is $50 for up to 3 entries for non-members; $40 for up to 3 entries for members. Payment is due upon submission. Payment does NOT guarantee acceptance by the juror.

ENTRY INSTRUCTION:  All entries are to be submitted via Submittable. 

Follow instructions on Submittable for artist information, downloading images and making payment.  All images must be submitted as jpg files at 150dpi resolution, 1200 pixels in the longest dimension, and a file size of 1MB or less. 

IMPORTANT: Jpg files must be re-named as follows: firstname_lastname_title_medium_size.jpg.

All required information on the entry form must be completed. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Entry fees are not refundable, and all deadlines are final. By entering, you agree to abide by all the rules and terms of the exhibition.

NOTIFICATION:  Notification of accepted works will be via email March 17, 2025.

PRIZES: Cash prizes will be awarded by the Juror. 

SALES:  All work must be for sale. A commission of 40% will be charged on all sales.  Price may not be changed from price listed on entry form. Artists are responsible for delivery or shipment of sold work not picked up at the gallery.

LIABILITY & INSURANCE:  Entries will be handled with all possible care.  MAG, its’ officers and agents will 

not be responsible for any loss or damage.  MAG does not insure entries and exhibits. Works will be handled and exhibited at the artist's own risk.
