16th Annual Open Juried Small Works Show

The Mamaroneck Artists Guild announces the 16th Annual Open Juried Small Works Exhibition. We are pleased to announce our juror - Jill Sarver Rossi.
Jill Sarver Rossi received her MFA in Painting from Western Connecticut State University, her MA in Painting and Drawing from Eastern Illinois University, and her BFA in Painting. She is faculty with Rome Art Program, a New York-based educational organization in Rome, Italy. She has curated independent exhibitions and taught art education throughout the Midwest and New York metro area. Jill was Visual Arts Manager at the Westport Arts Center, Westport, CT, and is Curator and Project Manager with Cynthia Byrnes Contemporary Art, Westport, CT. Her own work investigates memory and observation of ancient Egyptian and Roman figures and artifacts. She uses shifts in tonality and light to explore the duality between solidity and air, linking present and past. Her recent series, "Anonymous," has been shown in Connecticut and New York City, and is in private collections throughout the U’S
The 16th Annual Open Juried Small Works Exhibition will include original work in any media, 2-D or 3-D (including crafts) completed since January 2017. No Giclées. Work may not exceed 15” in any direction (if 2-D, that includes frame; if 3-D, that includes the base).
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists 18 years and older Artists may submit a maximum of 4 entries. Work exhibited in prior MAG Small Works exhibitions is not eligible.
ENTRY FEE: The entry fee is $50 for up to 4 entries. Payment is due upon submission. Payment does NOT guarantee acceptance by the juror.
ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS: All images must be submitted as jpg files at 150dpi resolution, 1200 pixels in the longest dimension, and a file size of 1MB or less. Jpg files must be named as follows: lastname_title_size.jpg.
All required information on the entry form must be completed. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Entry fees are not refundable, and all deadlines are final. By entering, you agree to abide by all the rules and terms of the exhibition.
NOTIFICATION: Notification of accepted works will be via email on April 22, 2020.
PRIZES: Cash prizes will be awarded by the Juror.
