Mamaroneck Artists Guild announces CALL FOR ENTRIES

2024 Small Works Show Dates: APRIL 3- 27, 2024

Submissions open: Monday, February 19, 2024

Deadline for entries: Saturday, March 9, 2024

Opening Awards Reception: Sat., April 6, 3-5:30 pm

Juror: 

Robin Zane is a New York based curator and artist. After many years in commercial marketing, she brings her experience, passion and commitment to promoting the arts. 

She has curated many exhibitions and acquired art collections for the not-for-profit sector including United Hebrew of New Rochelle, Lazarus Gallery and Willow Gardens Memory Care.

She was Vice President of Marketing for RiverArts, a not- for- profit arts organization based in the Rivertowns. where she promoted the organizations’ visual arts, dance, music, and theater  educational programs and events. 

Robin is the founder of ZaneArts. Inc., an art consulting and marketing company. 

ACCEPTED MEDIA: 

The exhibition will include original work in any media, 2-D or 3-D (including crafts) completed since January 2022. No Giclees. Work may not exceed 15” in any direction (if 2-D, that includes frame; if 3-D, that includes the base). All accepted work will hang in the gallery exhibit and be posted on the MAG Website: www.mamaroneckartistsguild.org

ELIGIBILITY:  

Open to all artists 18 years and older. Work exhibited in prior MAG Small Works exhibitions is not eligible. All images in the show will remain on our Past Shows section of our website for 6 months. 

ENTRY FEE:  

The entry fee is $50 for up to 3 entries for non-members; $40 for up to 3 entries for members. Payment is due upon submission. Payment does NOT guarantee acceptance by the juror.

ENTRY INSTRUCTION:  All entries are to be submitted via Submittable. 

Follow instructions on Submittable for artist information, downloading images and making payment.  All images must be submitted as jpg files at 150dpi resolution, 1200 pixels in the longest dimension, and a file size of 1MB or less. 

Jpg files must be re-named as follows: ArtistName_title_medium_size_price.jpg.  

All required information on the entry form must be completed. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Entry fees are not refundable, and all deadlines are final. By entering, you agree to abide by all the rules and terms of the exhibition.

NOTIFICATION:  Notification of accepted works will be via email March 15, 2024.

PRIZES: Cash prizes will be awarded by the Juror. 

SALES:  All work must be for sale. A commission of 40% will be charged on all sales.  Price may not be changed from price listed on entry form. Artists are responsible for delivery or shipment of sold work not picked up at the gallery.

LIABILITY & INSURANCE:  Entries will be handled with all possible care.  MAG, its’ officers and agents will not be responsible for any loss or damage.  MAG does not insure entries and exhibits. Works will be handled and exhibited at the artist's own risk.
