The Mamaroneck Artists Guild announces the 14th Annual Open Juried Small Works Exhibition for 2018. We are pleased to announce our juror is Julian Kreimer an artist, critic, and educator. He is an Associate Professor of Painting at SUNY’s Purchase College. He holds a MFA from Rhode Island School of Design, an M.A. from Chelsea College of Art and Design, London, and a B.A. from Princeton University.
Kreimer's latest show, Reality Show, was a two-person exhibit held at TSA LA in Sept-Oct 2017. Other recent solo shows have been at Lux Art Institute in San Diego, CA, and Weeknights Gallery, Brooklyn, and his work has been exhibited at Alexandre Gallery, Snyderman Works Gallery, and TSA Gallery. He’s been a Yaddo and MacDowell Fellow, and was artist-in-residence at Hotel Pupik in Schrattenberg, Austria. His work has been reviewed in publications such as Art in America, Hyperallergic, and Artcritical. He is a frequent contributor to Art in America, and has written for Paper Monument and Modern Painters.
The 14th Annual Open Juried Small Works Exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and older. The exhibition will include work in any media, 2D or 3D, completed since January 2015. Artists may submit a maximum of 5 entries. Size of all work may not exceed 15” in any direction (For 2D work that includes the frame and for 3D work this includes any base.) All 2D work must be suitably framed, wired and ready to hang (no sawtooth hangers). All work must be finished and completely dry.
Entry fee is $40 for up to 3 entries.
Additional entries are $10 each up to a maximum of 5 entries. Payment is due upon submission. Payment does NOT guarantee acceptance by the juror. Cash prizes will be awarded by the juror.
ACCEPTED MEDIA: The exhibition will include work in ANY MEDIA, 2D or 3D completed after January 2015. Work may not exceed 15” in any direction (if 2D that includes frame; if 3D that includes the base).
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists 18 years and older. Artists may submit a maximum of 5 entries. Work exhibited in prior MAG Small Works exhibitions exhibitions is not eligible.
FEES: $40 for up to 3 entries + $10 for each additional entry. Artists may submit a maximum of 5 entries. ($40 for 3 entries, $50 for 4 entries, $60 for 5 entries)
SUBMISSIONS: All images must be submitted as jpg files at 72dpi resolution, 800 pixels in the longest dimension, and a file size of 1MB or less. All required fields on entry form must be completed. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Entry fees are not refundable, and all deadlines are final.
NOTIFICATION: Artists will be notified by email by March 2, 2018
Shipped Work: March 20 to March 23, 2018.
Shipped work must arrive at the Mamaroneck Artists Guild, 126 Larchmont Avenue, Larchmont, NY 10538. All shipped work must include prepaid return shipping label, be trackable, and have appropriate packaging for return of artwork. All work must be finished and completely dried. 2D work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging (no sawtooth or clip hangers).
Hand Delivered Work: Work must be delivered to Mamaroneck Artists Guild, 126 Larchmont Avenue, Larchmont, NY 10538 on March 26, 2018, 12-4pm or March 27, 2018, 12-4pm. All work must remain on exhibition for the duration of the exhibition.
REMOVAL: All work must be removed on April 21, 2018. Pick up hours are 1-5 pm. If not removed by this deadline, there will be a $35 administrative charge and storage charge of $5 per day. After 30 days, the art including all rights, title and interest of the artist in and to the work, will become the property of MAG.

SALES: All work must be for sale. A commission of 40% will be charged on all sales. Price may not be changed from price listed on entry form.
LIABILITY & INSURANCE: Every care will be taken to provide for the safety of all artwork. Entries will be handled with all possible care. MAG its officers and agents will not be responsible for any loss or damage. MAG does not insure entries and exhibits. Works will be handled and exhibited at the artist's own risk.
PRIZES: Cash prizes will be awarded by the Juror.
